Membership and Organization Structure
Membership
Membership is allowed for a person who is in a position able to make an academic research on the protection of financial consumers independently without undue influence of any company or an institution.
Professors of University, Researcher of Research Institute with doctorate degree, or an expert with an equivalent qualification are eligible for the membership. Student for PhD or a member of the research institute or a member of governmental body with sufficient academic research experience may also be considered as a member.
Member has a right to apply for a presentation at the conference of the organization including the Global Forum as well as a right to apply for a submission of an article at the journal of the organization.
MEMBERSIP(JOURNAL SUBSCRIPTION) FEE ; US $50 (50,000 KRW)
For the 2023 GFFC, we decided to collect the membership also in 7,000 JPY.

Conference Attendance fee
Regular Registration Fee ; $150 (150,000KRW) / 21,000 JPY(2023)

Chairman of the Directors
C is chosen at the Director’s Meeting.
C is responsible for the Director’s General Meeting and Executive Directors Meeting.
Director’s General Meeting is held, in principle, once a year.
Executive Director’s Meeting is held at least twice a year including an internet meeting.
C makes a payment of US$ 1,000 per year to the organization in addition to the membership fee.
Duration of C is 3 years.
Vice Chairman
VC is appointed from the Directors by the Chairman to support C.
VC makes a payment of US$700 per year in addition to the membership fee.
Executive Directors
ED is appointed from the Directors and is approved by the Director’s Meeting.
Max number of ED is around 15 (pending).
ED is responsible for the management of the organization and each ED is, in principle, assigned a chair of a committee or a head of group of the organization.
ED makes a payment of US$300 per year in addition to the membership fee.
Directors
Director is nominated by ED and approved by the Directors Meeting.
Professors of University, Researcher of Research Institute with doctorate degree, or an expert with an equivalent qualification are eligible for the director.
Director belongs, in principle, to any of the committee or a group of the organization.
Director must make a national report on the consumer protection at least once a year to be published on the website.
Director makes a payment of US$200 per year in addition to the membership fee.
President
President is nominated by the Executive Directors’ Meeting and is approved by the Directors’ Meeting.
President is responsible for the Global Forum held at the domicile country of the President.
President is allowed to appoint Vice President who supports President.
Duration of the President is one year.
President makes a payment of US$1,000 for one year in addition to the membership fee.
Vice President
VP is appointed by the President among Directors to support President.
Period of VP is one year.
VP makes a payment of US$700 for one year in addition to the membership fee.
Auditor
Auditor is responsible for auditing the organization and its various activities including the operation of the Global Forum.
Number of Auditor is two.
Duration of the Auditor is two year.
Auditors are to be selected among Directors at the Director’s Meeting.
Auditor makes a payment of US$300 per year in addition to the membership fee.
